About the Owner, Anne Coles

Anne Coles is a 1993 graduate of North Georgia College and began her career in Atlanta as a Marketing Assistant for a large services company.  Working her way up through the ranks, her eventual responsibilities were the regional administration of the company, which included work in accounting, administration, computer networks and business services.  

She moved to the non-profit sector, again working up from a help-desk administrator to the Systems Manager, with total responsibility for the systems used by Zoo Atlanta - from their accounting and operations systems to the gate admissions and gift-shop registers.  After successfully managing the Zoo's systems, she moved back into the world of for-profit corporations with positions at World Com.  She was promoted from being responsible for a team of developers to a Project Manager for one of the corporation's web portals.  With the demise of World Com, Anne was forced to begin looking in another direction.

The idea for business and accounting services started with Will Spurlock Electric.  The company needed someone to step in and transition the office during a management change.  Anne stepped in, kept things running, and then hired and trained a replacement (who still works there).  

Work continued with a brief move to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a job with a major insurance company as a procurement analyst.  Large purchasing spreadsheets were created and responsibilities ranged from work with the technical support groups to reporting for upper management. 

When the family decided Philadelphia was not home, they returned to Atlanta and Anne started to formulate the concept for The Wren Group, Inc.  The need for QuickBooks and business support was clear - and so the company began.

Anne is married with two sons, a daughter,  two cats, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier named Nitro and a Black Russian Terrier named Cinder.

Joann Brancher

Joann has been a member of The Wren Group, Inc. team since April 2010. Her smiling voice is the one you hear when you call our office.  Joann's background includes extensive administrative and bookkeeping work for varied companies in the contracting industry.  She assists our medical billing clients with their operations and is our Office Manager.

Lori Butterfield

A recent addition to The Wren Group family, Lori brings a unique background that will be a real asset to our clients.  Not only is she a degreed accountant with an extensive accounting background, she also works as a business coach. 

 We enjoy our work, and our relationship with our clients. 

 At our ribbon cutting and open house, our friends, clients and staff enjoyed catering from The Varsity.
